Penrith Recycling Depot is a council-approved recycling facility operated by MSB Waste and Recycling, located at 37 Leland Street, Penrith.
We’re a locally owned and operated business serving Western Sydney’s trade and residential customers. Our depot provides a fast, straight forward place to drop off building, demolition, garden and general waste without the hassle of long queues or complicated booking systems.
All waste is sorted on site for recycling, so you can feel confident your materials are being handled responsibly.

Penrith Recycling Depot is open to both trade and public customers. We regularly serve:
Accepted vehicles: Cars, utes, car trailers and rigid trucks. We cannot accept truck and dog combinations or semi-trailers.
Our depot on Leland Street is easily accessible from across the Penrith and greater Western Sydney area, including Emu Plains, St Marys, Kingswood, Werrington, Glenmore Park, Leonay, Cranebrook, St Clair, Cambridge Park, Jamisontown and surrounds.
Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, here’s how tipping at Penrith Recycling Depot works:

We charge by the cubic metre. When you arrive, our staff will measure your tipper, trailer, or truck (length, width, and height) to calculate the cubic capacity of your load. No weighbridge, no waiting around.
Different waste types are charged at different rates. Separated loads are generally cheaper than mixed loads, so sorting your waste before you visit can reduce your costs.
For current rates, give us a call on 02 4708 2927. We’re happy to give you a quote over the phone so you know what to expect before you arrive.
We don’t just dump it. All waste received at Penrith Recycling Depot is sorted on site by our team. Recyclable materials are separated and sent to specialist recycling centres for further processing, while only non-recyclable residual waste goes to landfill.
This means your building debris, timber, metals, concrete, green waste and other materials get a second life wherever possible, and less ends up in the ground.
Need a record of how your waste was handled? With prior notice, we can provide a Waste and Recycling Report detailing the breakdown of recyclable and landfill material from our facility. This can be useful for builders and project managers who need waste management documentation.
You don’t need to book, though a phone call to 02 4708 2927 when you are on your way during our opening hours, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, helps ensure we will have the area clear and accessible for you.
We charge by the cubic metre. Our staff measure your vehicle’s load area using length x width x height when you arrive to calculate the volume. Different waste types have different rates.

Call us on 02 4708 2927 before you visit and we’ll confirm over the phone. It takes 30 seconds and can save you a wasted trip.
We can’t provide individual tipping receipts, as outgoing loads contain material from multiple customers. However, with prior notice, we can arrange a Waste and Recycling Report that details the breakdown of recyclable and landfill material from your tipped load.
